About us

Dominic Evans Electronics was founded in Aldridge, Walsall, Staffordshire, U.K., in October 1986 to design and manufacture electronic high-performance real-time industrial control and monitoring systems with an emphasis on high reliability, real-time performance and precision motor control.

Our first systems were manufactured for special purpose multi-axis metal forming machines and were delivered to the end customer in January 1987. As a result of the exceptional performance that our electronics and control software provided in this first application, in March 1987 we were approached to develop and manufacture electronic roll feed control systems for the metal pressings industry.

A few weeks later, our first electronic roll feed control systems shipped; to date we have over 10,000 systems installed in over 20 countries which are used by many well-known companies across many industrial sectors ranging from automotive (tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers), to manufacturers of building products, heating, lighting and electrical products and white-goods.

Now in our 31st year of trading and based in Worcestershire, U.K. we have full in-house automatic surface mount pick & place assembly equipment with capability down to 0.40mm pitch electronic components. All electronic schematic design, printed circuit board (PCB) layout and electronics assembly is carried out in-house, as is the design and development of the control and application software.

Over the years, our range has expanded to include integrated and standalone programmable electronic cambox/programmable limit switches, press load monitoring and component/part detection monitoring systems for power press and tool protection, as well as full power press control and monitoring control systems with clutch/brake function and wear monitoring and automatic top-stop adjustment on single and variable speed presses.

Additionally, we undertake special application-specific projects for automatic assembly and robotic assembly lines and inter-press transfer systems for which we provide a complete solution encompassing the electronic control systems, the control software and the design and manufacture of the mechanical assemblies.
